Lady Gaga just paid tribute to her late aunt, Joanne Germanotta, you know, the inspiration behind her new album, with the most touching tattoo, and her father also joined in on the touching honor.
After a busy promotional circuit, which included stops on "Good Morning America," "Saturday Night Live" and, of course, her homecoming set at The Bitter End, Mother Monster decided to imprint the legacy that is her late aunt with her actual signature written on her forearm. "Got Joanne tattooed on my arm in her actual signature. My dad got one too. With an angel on his shoulder," she wrote on Instagram.
Earlier in the day, Gaga spoke highly about her late family member in a new interview with Howard Stern. "She's like this goddess that we worshipped in our family our whole lives," she said of her aunt, who died at 19-years-old due to complications from Lupus. "Her picture was always up, and it was framed so beautifully in the house. We talked about her all the time, every family meal... she was like a guardian angel or spirit guide."
