A$AP Mob celebrated the life and legacy of hip-hop visionary A$AP Yams on January 18th, 2017, two years after his sudden and tragic death. To commemorate their longtime friend, ASAP Mob put on the second annual Yams Day concert at Madison Square Garden, with performances from A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Danny Brown, Flatbush Zombies, Tyler The Creator, Playboi Carti and surprise appearances from The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Young Thug.
The backbone and mastermind behind ASAP Mob, Yams was one of the most well-known and influential figures in modern rap, who paved the way for the massive success of ASAP Rocky, ASAP Ferg, and the return of New York hip-hop.
Rocky brought out Yams' mother, who wrapped up with the show, thanking the fans for supporting her son's dream and vision.
