Bad Boy: The LOX Recalls The Time Biggie Smalls Dissed Them On Their Own Song

In a recent interview with Genius, The LOX recalled the time Biggie Smalls came at their necks on their own song "You'll See."
Before they were hip hop vets, the crew were newcomers when Puff Daddy first signed them to Bad Boy Entertainment in 1996. To welcome the trio into the label, Puff had The LOX lay a few bars on an upcoming Bad Boy mixtape. LOX being on his new project meant many Biggie -- and hip hop fans, in general -- would peep them.
When in the studio, Puff told them they would be rapping on "You'll See" with the Brooklyn MC. “He gave us that beat and let us do it and then he threw Big on it. That was the introduction of the LOX being on Bad Boy,” Kiss told Genius.
The trio's raps were all about drug dealing, guns, women... you know...that Bad Boy life. But, Biggie wasn't too cool with that. He thought they were some more fake rappers trying to be down.
"N**gas talkin' it but ain't livin' it/ Crystal pops I'm sippin' it/ Mob hats and lizard s**t" Notorious spit on the track. Watch Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Styles P recall the slight diss above.
