After the critically praised premiere of Another Brick In The Wall: L'Opera in Montreal this weekend, plans to bring the stage production based on Pink Floyd's 1979 masterpiece to the states has been revealed. The rock opera will debut at the Cincinnati Music Hall in July 2018.

Titled Another Brick in the Wall: The Opera, the stage show follows the protagonist Pink, an emotionally detached and depressed rock star who delves within his own mind through flashbacks to battle his inner demons. The production's score surprisingly steers away from its rock origins and opts for a symphonic and classical soundtrack.

The 70-piece Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, along with eight soloists and 48 chorus members, will perform the opera at the recently restored Cincinnati Music Hall. Baritone Etienne Dupuis will reprise his role as Pink, after playing the lead character in Montreal.

Roger Waters was in attendance at the Montreal premiere, where he was quoted as saying, "I sat there not expecting to be moved, and I was moved."
