Pregnant Teacher Accused of Having Sex with Minor

A Northwest ISD middle school teacher has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old former student.

Katherine Harper is now 8 months pregnant and was a 7th grade English teacher, tennis and cheerleading coach at Tidwell Middle School.

Her alleged victim is a student at Byron Nelson High School and the two met when Harper was his tennis coach.

Harper's arrest warrant says that when the boy was asked by his principal about the relationship, he burst into tears and admitted he and the teacher had multiple encounters.

The warrant also says the two exchanged nude photos and it was what led to the anonymous tip leading to Harper's arrest.

Authorities never explicitly stated the minor was the baby's father and Harper was also placed on administrative leave.
