In 2012, Patricia Krentcil faced child-endangerment charges for taking her five-year-old daughter into a tanning booth with her.
The charges were eventually dropped, but Patricia’s severely tanned appearance earned her the nickname “Tan Mom” and made her a controversial figure in headlines across the country.
But now, five years later, Patricia is turning the tables on her accusers. And while she used to visit tanning beds every day, she’s cut back to three days a week.
The 49-year-old New Jersey mom thrust herself back in the headlines when her daughter, 11, came home from school with a bad sunburn she got that day during recess.
Patricia claims she packed her daughter’s sunscreen, but was mortified when she still came home “like a french fry.”
News stations are reporting that her lawyer is drawing up a potential case against the the school district for neglect.
“After what they did to me, they didn’t put lotion on her? This time, I’m going after them.”
