Todrick Hall's Gay Remake Of 'Get Out' Is A Must-See

August 7, 2017

Get Out's impact is still going strong with a brand-new parody, courtesy of famed YouTuber Todrick Hall, who made the horror film just a little more, ahem, gay.

In Todrick's version of the film, which is appropriately titled Get Out of the Closet, viewers see a similar storyline as the Jordan Peele original. Alison Williams' role is played by Colleen Ballinger, otherwise known as Miranda Sings, and kicks off the three-minute parody with the premise of the film. "You tell 'em I'm black?" Daniel Kaluuya's character (played by King Bach) asks her about their trip back to Williams' home. Once they arrive, we learn that this version of the film brings a lot more glitter to the camera as her parents are two men and a crew of flirty male party-goers welcome the new boyfriend to the house.

Get Out of the Closet plays out like the rest of the film as the boyfriend discovers the family isn't what they pretend to be. Oh, and wait for the best joke in the trailer to unravel at the very end when Todrick plays the housemaid (originally portrayed by Betty Gabriel) and delivers a clever Destiny's Child reference. Drag Race star Eureka O'Hara also makes an appearance.
