Francia Raisa Calls Selena Gomez 'My Sister, My Forever Friend'

On Thursday (September 14), Selena Gomez shocked fans when she confessed that she underwent a kidney transplant due to her Lupus condition, courtesy of her friend/actress Francia Raisa, who made the brave decision to give her the organ.

Even though though Raisa has yet to comment on Gomez's confession, her Instagram timeline does include some love for the pop star. Back in July, The Secret Life of the American Teenager actress took to the social media platform to share a photo of the pair during what looks like a warm summer day. "Feliz cumpleaños a mi hermana, My forever friend," the 29-year-old captioned the photo alongside a red heart emoji. See the post below!

In Gomez's confessional Instagram post, the pop star sent sweet words to Raisa, writing, "There aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made."
