A Debate Is Raging Over The Hamburger Emoji And Everyone Is Taking A Side

With politics, sports and religion, there's a lot people are arguing about these days, but nothing is more heated right now than the debate over the hamburger emoji.

Perhaps you've used it ahead of a barbecue or trip to McDonald's and not noticed anything, or maybe you're observant enough to have seen some issues with it, but right now, everyone has something to say about the emoji, no matter where they're seeing it.

A Twitter user sparked it all, pointing out how the Apple emoji has the cheese on top of the burger, while Google shows it under the burger. As folks replied with their opinion of which is right, other issues were uncovered:

Obviously, cheese must be on top of meat. But lettuce must be insulated by the tomato - so both are in the wrong.

And then those were thorough hashed out:

lettuce under meat keeps the bottom bun from getting (as) soggy with meat juice.

Then other burger emojis were put under the microscope:

OMG... Microsoft got it right! But Samsung puts the cheese on top of lettuce???

Even Google's CEO got into the debate, vowing to take care of it.

No word yet on if any alterations will be made to the burgers.
