After almost 50 years, Subiaco institution The Witch’s Cauldron has suddenly, and quietly, served its last garlic prawn.
Owners Tanis and Geoff Gosling told The West Australian that the decision to shut up shop wasn’t due to financial reasons,

The Witch’s Cauldron, famous for its garlic prawns, opened in 1970.
The West also listed what diners paid back then.
On average, entrees were $1 and mains were $1.50.

- Smoked salmon was $1.50

It’s understood the business won’t be sold and that all staff will receive their entitlements.
