After months of snow and general dreariness, Spring is on the horizon and we couldn't be happier. What better way to celebrate than with a list of warm weather-ready tunes embracing all of the great things that spring has to offer? With that in mind, iHeartRadio assembled a list of spring-themed songs. Fire up that playlist and let's rock out!
"Here Comes the Sun" - The Beatles
After a long, cold winter, there's no better sight than the sun peaking through the clouds. Let the Beatles light-hearted tune (and the higher temps) warm your heart.
"Shower" - Becky G
The happy-go-lucky vibe of the track perfectly captures the energy that spring brings. While Becky G is singing about jamming in the shower, we're choosing to make it a nod to the rain spells that frequent the season.
"Come In With the Rain" - Taylor Swift
Again, rain is a recurring theme in spring. Taylor Swift used her wordsmithing skills to elaborate on the drama of a good storm -- perfect for April showers.
"Umbrella"
With popup showers lingering, don't leave the house without your umbrella-ella-eh-eh.
"Blue Skies" - Noah and the Whale
There's moments where it feels like spring will never come -- and that's why we included Noah and the Whale. Blue skies are calling.
"Soak Up the Sun" - Sheryl Crow
One of the best parts of warm weather is simply basking in it. Queue up this track and, well, soak up the sun.
"Beautiful Day" - U2
U2's "Beautiful Day" is a classic for a reason. It's also utterly necessary for ushering in warm weather.
"I Do Not Care for the Winter Sun" - Beach House
Sick of winter? Same. The name of this song speaks strongly to the sentiment of craving spring.
"Spring" - Two Door Cinema Club
The title of this track is pretty spot-on, but its ease also channels the similar quality of the season.
"Spring Breakdown" - Luke Bryan
One of the season's most time-honored traditions is spring break trips. Toast to the week-long party with this Luke Bryan number.
"Pocketful of Sunshine" - Natasha Bedingfield
This song sounds like a vacation.
"Happy" - Pharrell
Longer days and warmer temperatures scream happiness.
"It Might As Well Be Spring" - Nina Simone
For that moment when spring fever hits its peak, Nina Simone has you covered.
"It's Gonna Be Me" - *NSYNC
Okay, not technically a spring song. At all. However, we would be remiss to miss the internet phenomenon of Justin Timberlake "announcing" "It's gonna be MAY."
"Keep Your Head Up" - Andy Grammer
Keep your head up, because the dark days of Winter are over!
"Steal My Sunshine" - Len
Get ready for this tune to be stuck in your head all season.
"Ocean Avenue" - Yellowcard
This song emanates Spring vibes, reminding us of the good old days.
"Drops of Jupiter" - Train
This Train shoutout gets some love, thanks to the line, "She listens like spring and she talks like June."
"Go Outside" - Cults
Sometimes cabin fever is the most brutal right before warm weather strikes. Listen to this track and know your feelings aren't alone.
"June Hymn" - The Decemberists
By the time June rolls around, spring is well underway and summer is on the horizon. Still, the majority of the month quality qualifies as springtime, hence the track gets some love on our list.
"Month of May" - Arcade Fire
While Arcade Fire insists that "Month of May, it's a violent thing," it means warm weather, so we're on board.
"June" - Pete Yorn
Contrary to the happy feelings associated with spring, this track has more somber undertones. Even the brightest of seasons need a little chill, right?
"Spring/Sun/Winter/Dread" - Everything Everything
This track gives a shoutout to two other seasons, but still qualifies. Seasons mark the passing of time, an overarching theme in this song.
