A Florida woman ran into a terrifying sight in an open field near Jacksonville over the weekend. Lindsey Nilsen was walking through the field with an unidentified male companion when they stumbled across a giant eastern diamondback rattlesnake slithering through the grass. She grabbed her phone and recorded a video of the six-foot-long snake and uploaded it to Facebook. The post quickly went viral, being viewed over 200,000 times and shared by nearly 300 people.

That is a big [expletive] rattlesnake right there, dude," a man can be heard saying in the video clip. "... Oh my god, that [expletive] is like six foot."

Nilsen did not appear to be worried as the deadly snake stuck its tongue out at them before slithering away. The man in the video estimated the snake was seven-years-old based on its rattle.

The eastern diamondback rattlesnake is the heaviest venomous snake in the Americas and the largest species of rattlesnake. The average length of the snakes is around 5'6".  It is also has a reputation for being the most dangerous venomous snake in North America.
