A Houston man is fighting for his life after he was accidentally shot in the head while broadcasting on Facebook Live. Police said that 26-year-old Devyn Holmes was sitting in his car with some friends at a gas station around 2:30 am on Sunday morning when a gun fired hitting Holmes in the head. In the video, a man and a woman were playing with two handguns while Holmes was broadcasting on Facebook.
The woman, identified as Cassandra Damper, can be seen pointing the gun at the camera and nonchalantly waving it around the car. At one point Holmes told Damper that she was making him "nervous" but the other passenger said the gun was empty.
“You’re making me nervous,” Holmes is heard saying as he tries to still the woman’s hand who is handling the gun.
“It ain’t got no clip, bud,” the other man is heard saying.
Seconds later the gun went off and Holmes slumped over. The two passengers ran from the car but police were able to track them down a few minutes later. They arrested Damper and charged her with tampering with evidence because she was trying to wipe the gun clean when they took her into custody. She told police she did not realize the gun was loaded while she playing with it.
The other passenger was not charged. Holmes remains in the hospital on life support and is in critical condition.
