A fan tweeted an excerpt from Issa Rae’s book "Misadventures Of Awkward Black Girl" and zoomed in on a part where Issa discussed how Asian men are  “overburdened” with racial stereotypes which seemingly causes Asian  women to date outside of their race more often.

Issa suggested that since black men seem to date outside of their race more often—due to a multitude of stereotypes of black women—that black women and Asian men should join forces. S

“This  is why I propose that Black women and Asian men join forces in love,  mariage, and procreation. Educated Black women what better intellectual  match for you than an Asian man?”

She believes that there could be harmony there. _______________________________________ “This is why I propose that Black women and Asian men join forces in love, mariage, and procreation. Educated Black women what better intellectual match for you than an Asian man?” Issa wrote. The gag is that this book came out three years ago, however, that doesn’t mean it still can’t spark dialogue like it has. _______________________________________ In fact, this passage has everyone on Twitter in their feelings even though Issa was definitely being satirical! On the one hand, black women see no issue with what was said, because “if a black man had said it, then...” well, y’all know how that goes! _______________________________________ Check out some reactions and tell us your thoughts 👀👀
