After collaborating with the likes of Bruno Mars, Rita Ora and Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B is cementing her status as the scene's new "it girl" with another star-studded team-up. This time she has decided to partner with Maroon 5 for a remix to their track "Girls Like You," and it is scheduled to arrive on Thursday (May 31).
On Wednesday afternoon, Adam Levine and the remaining members of the group confirmed the whispers, tweeting, "Rumors are true. Our new single #GirlsLikeYou, ft. @iamcardib, is out tomorrow. Stay tuned for more!" "Girls Like You" is featured on M5's sixth studio album, Red Pill Blues, which dropped in November, and serves as the follow-up single to "Wait." As per early word, the track stays entirely the same with the exception of vocals from the rapper. While you wait for the remix to drop, take a listen to the original version of the mellow pop/rock track below.
It's been a packed month for Cardi B, who is pregnant with her first child with fiancé Offset. Earlier this week, the rapper unveiled the music video for her Bad Bunny and J Balvin-assisted "I Like It," which could be a solid contender for the coveted 2018 Song of the Summer title. Fun fact: While the visual for the Invasion of Privacy single was filmed months earlier in order to capture a pre-pregnant Bardi, the scenes of her in the red dress were filmed only a few weeks back.
