Since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry and became part of the royal family, anything she does can become a headline. From her nickname to her freckles to her fashion, people are obsessed with anything to do with the Duchess of Sussex, including her shoes. And while there is some curiosity about the color or the designer of her footwear, eagle-eyed fans have noticed something strange about the size of them. It seems that many shoes Meghan owns are too big for her feet... but there's a good reason why, and it stems from her time in the spotlight as an actress.

Fashion expert Harriet Davey explained to The Sun:

"Celebs often go a size up, or even two, in the shoe department when they're at an event or on the red carpet and it's for one reason we can all relate to—to avoid blisters. There's nothing worse than uncomfortable shoes (we've all been there on a night out) and when celebs like Meghan are wearing heels for a long period of time their feet can often swell up. The swelling can cause blisters and in the long run bunions."

So how does Meghan get the big shoes to stay on? She likely is padding the toe with tissue or cotton balls.
