Stoned Alone: Ryan Reynolds to Remake Home Alone

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is attached to a rated-R version of Home Alone called Stoned Alone. According to Variety, the project is in the works at Twentieth Century Fox with Reynolds producing and possibly acting in the film.

The plot will focus on a stoner who misses his plane for a holiday ski trip. While high, he gets paranoid about people breaking into his house and then thieves actually do. The script was written by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider, with Augustine Frizzell set to direct. 

Home Alone, which starred Macaulay Culkin, was a box office hit but I'm not sure if a stoner remake can recreate the same success.
