Demi Lovato is continuing to make her recovery her number one priority.

On August 4 the pop star was discharged from Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and boarded a private jet to a rehab facility outside California following a drug overdose she suffered in late July. The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer had previously been sober for six years.

As E! News reports, a rep for the 25-year-old confirmed on Thursday (August 9) that the remaining dates of her Tell Me You Love Me tour have been cancelled. She was supposed to travel to South America and perform in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Live Nation and Lotus Productions "wish Demi Lovato the best now and in the future and we hope to see her soon in South America." Tickets will be refunded.

The news comes days after Demi broke her silence on the drug overdose via Instagram.

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction,” she wrote in a message. “What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”

“I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well," she continued. "To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”
