Taylor Swift found love in a hopeless place and decided to write about. Well, not exactly, but she did admit that her latest album, Reputation, came to be after she found love "throughout all the noise."

“[I] think there was a bit of a bait-and-switch that happened with this album when we put out ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and we’re like, ‘Guys, this album is gonna be one thing.’ And then the album came out, it’s legitimately an album about finding love throughout all the noise," Taylor told fans at an intimate Taylor Swift NOW concert in Chicago on Wednesday (August 29), seemingly referencing her relationship with boyfriend Joe Alwyn, Entertainment Tonight reports.

While she didn’t mention Joe by name, it’s safe to assume she was talking about the British actor who she has been dating since late 2016.

“It starts with the noise and how that makes all you feel and how it makes you feel when people are saying things about you that you feel, like, aren’t true and living your sort of life in defiance of that. And then, sort of, in the middle of the album you kind of realize, ‘How much do I really value that?’" she explained of Reputation before discussing what keeps her motivated to create. " If you can find something real in spite of a bad reputation, then isn’t that what matters the most to you? And doesn’t it matter the most to you that you know who your real friends are now?”

While Taylor and Joe have managed to keep their relationship out of the public eye, fans have said that many of the songs on Reputation seem to be about Joe, including “Gorgeous," “Call It What You Want," and "Delicate."
