Summer break has come to an end for the children of the Royal Family just like the rest of us, and The Duchess of Cambridge has decided to get hands on in their preparation.

Kate Middleton was spotted shopping along with her two eldest children Princess Charlotte and Prince George at Peter Jones - a ritzy department store located in central London. Forgoing the luxury of having members of the palace staff make a supplies run, she took it upon herself to personally make sure the kids were outfitted with the best.

According to Hello!, sources at the department store claim that The Duchess made a 'rookie mistake' and forgot to pack socks for George and Charlotte to try on new shoes with. Luckily, Kate was able to borrow a few pairs from the retailer and it wasn't a problem that they had arrived wearing sandals.

When it comes to other aspects of the Royal kids' schooling, Prince William and Kate Middleton appear to be extremely hands on as well. According to the Daily Mail, William once turned up unannounced dressed down at a 'get to know you' mixer for parents. They can also regularly be seen at the school drop off. A source revealed that it's commonplace to see the Royals in the morning:

"No one really gives Kate a second glance when she does the school drop-off. We have a Victoria's Secret Model doing the school run, too, and the dads are far more interested in her!"

Last year Kate's morning sickness while pregnant with Prince Louis prohibited her from dropping off Prince George on his first day, so William took him alone.

Prince George is attending Thomas's Battersea, a swanky day school located in South London. The tuition clocks in at a whopping £17,604 per year or about $22,746. The Third-In-Line for the throne has a busy year ahead as his schedule includes math, French and even ballet. Dance lessons are compulsory for all students and even include a classical pianist in every class! According to the Mirror, Thomas's Battersea's ballet curriculum states:

This syllabus develops students' physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality, using a range of sounds and musical styles...this strong foundation prepares students for a successful transition to ballet and other dance genres.

The little Prince will also be following in his father's footsteps by learning Geography. Prince William studied it at the university level in college.
