'Riverdale' Costars Camila Mendes & Charles Melton Go Instagram Official

Attention Riverheads, we have another romance to ship: Ronnie and Reggie!
That's right, Riverdale stars Camila Mendes and Charles Melton are an item now.
The 24-year-old actress, who stars as Veronica Lodge on the hit CW show, confirmed she is, in fact, in a relationship with her hunky castmate. "Mine," Mendes captioned a cutesy Instagram photo of she and her 27-year-old beaux, who plants an adorable kiss on his girlfriend's forehead as she smiles.
This means Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are no longer the only Riverdale lovebirds to find love behind the scenes — so a double date between the four stars is obviously mandatory now.
Whispers of the pair being, well, a pair started swirling last month after the twosome spent their Labor Day on a yacht and were spotted together in Vancouver. Riverheads also noticed them sharing the same fireside setting via Instagram Story and again having dinner a few weeks ago, sparking rumors they were dating.
It's an interesting dating choice for Mendes, who previously confessed she doesn't like actors. "Actors are really emotionally complicated. You would think they would be more in tune with their emotions, but sometimes they're just not," she said in her July 2018 profile for Nylon. "I just really need to get out of this industry with someone who is in a stable environment."
The news comes months after Melton was embroiled in a fat-shaming controversy over the summer.
Both stars will return for Riverdale Season 3, which premieres Wednesday (October 10) on The CW.
