It's the most magical time of the year! Almost! But Starbucks is giving us all an early holiday present because they released their festive cups a little bit early this year, so, we can all get into the spirit...three weeks before Thanksgiving. There's nothing wrong with wanting to start the holiday celebrations immediately after Halloween ends, right? Nope, didn't think so!
For design inspiration this year, Starbucks decided to take a journey to the past.
During the holidays, memories from the past help connect us across time and distance. Simple acts can spark a flicker of remembrance – like making snow angels, serving an old family recipe and hanging sentimental childhood ornaments. The senses can cue our memories too, like the smell of peppermint or fresh-baked gingerbread," Heidi Peiper explained via the Starbucks Newsroom. "This season, Starbucks stores are celebrating the spirit of yesteryear with a modern twist."
The spirit of yesteryear inspired four classic retro holiday cup designs that you'll want to get your hands on ASAP. I mean, who knew a cup could be this festive?
They're so cute, right? Well, the cups aren't the only holiday treat coming to Starbucks this year. Also returning are your favorite seasonal beverages, including Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Gingerbread Latte, and Egg Nog Latte.
If you're a fan of the classic, red cup, Starbucks is also doing something pretty special this year for customers. If you order a holiday drink on Friday, November 2, Starbucks will give you a free limited-edition reusable red holiday cup. Yes, you read that right. Free. Reusable. Red. Holiday. Cup. The holidays have definitely come early this year.
If you can't make it into Starbucks on Nov. 2, though, don't worry. If you visit your local Starbucks between Nov 3 – Jan 7 and purchase one of the six different holiday beverages using their reusable red holiday cup after 2 p.m. will receive $0.50 off their drink order.
