Little Mix Drop Goddess Anthem ‘Joan Of Arc’: Hear It Now

Little Mix is two for two on dropping dance-worthy jams, and now the girls are marking their new era with another anthem.

On Friday (November 2), the British girl group's dropped a new tune called "Joan of Arc," a fitting follow-up to their Nicki Minaj-assisted tell-off "Woman Like Me." The track, named after one of the most iconic female symbols in history, is just as unapologetically self-loving and calls to mind the sassiness of Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)."

Leigh-Anne Pinnock boldly kicks off the jam with some body-shaking verses as Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall go all out on the feminist pre-chorus, belting, "Man, I feel like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Queen of Hearts, yeah/ Tonight it's only me that matters." Then Jesy Nelson carries the chorus solo with self-affirming lyrics like, "I don't need a man/ If I'm loving you it's 'cause I can ('cause I can)/ I don't want your cash (uh)/ I put my own rock on my hand (woo)."

Overall, this independent, no-boys-allowed — or necessary — banger is one made for the club.

The Loosechange-produced song serves as the first promotional single off Little Mix's forthcoming fifth album, LM5, which arrives on November 16. The X Factor UK winners also released a 20-second visual teaser for its release via Twitter.
