Justin Bieber Pays Homage To Aaron Carter For Paving The Way For Him

Don't get it twisted, Justin Bieber realizes who the original "Biebs" was before him.

The "Let Me Love You" singer sent some much-needed love to OG teen pop heartthrob Aaron Carter after the 30-year-old voiced his frustration over the lack of respect he's received from today's generation despite his seniority in the music business.

"Listen man. I can’t sit here & just not say anything to that, I’ve been in this industry before he was born," Carter tweeted Tuesday (November 20) in response to a fan comparing his success to that of the Canadian superstar.

Carter also went on to say, "I've had harder times and always bounce back. No I’m not Justin Bieber I’m Aaron Carter. I’m also in construction I paved the way. These kids have NEVER paid me homage."

Hoping to clear the air, however, the 24-year-old shouted out the "Sooner or Later" artist with nothing but the respect and reassurance of a true fan. "Aaron carter i had your album when I was little. And bumped the song Aaron’s party. I was like 7. if you need a hype man I got you," Bieber responded. "All love over here Aaron. You got my support."

The "I Want Candy" artist thankfully received Bieber's acknowledgment and reciprocated the sentiment, writing back, “I appreciate your support means a lot. Nothing but love bro."

“No hype needed fr people just come at me sideways and I’m just doing my best I’ve also been a big supporter of you since your start," Carter expressed, adding, "I also stood in line to watch your movie man. It’s all LøVë ps your music inispired [sic] my new stuff. So there’s that.”

Bieber and Carter were, without a doubt, two of the most influential male pop stars of their respective teeny bop eras, which makes this brotherly moment all the more endearing.
