Marvel Creator Stan Lee’s Cause Of Death Revealed

Marvel Comics co-creator Stan Lee died on November 12, and his cause of death has just been revealed. TMZ obtained a copy of his death certificate which stated that the 95-year-old died as a result of heart and respiratory failure related to aspiration pneumonia, which is when you inhale food, stomach acid or saliva into your lungs. 

The death certificate stated the Lee was cremated and his ashes were turned over to his daughter, Joan. He was laid to rest in a private funeral on November 16 in accordance with his wishes. Lee's company, POW! Entertainment, said that they are working on a tribute to allow his millions of fans to honor his legacy.

Lee is credited with helping to create numerous iconic characters including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and the X-Men.
