Next year is shaping up to be a good one for The Cure (and their fans). The post-punk pioneers were recently announced as 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, but that's not all. Over the weekend, the band announced 2019 tour dates that see them traversing Europe and South Africa, playing massive festivals around the world. Additionally, Consequence of Sound points out that Robert Smith revealed the band's working on a new album during a recent interview.
"We’re going in about six weeks time to finish up what will be our first album in more than a decade,” he said. “It’s very exciting times for us all around.”
