Taylor Swift had the coolest theme for her New Year's Eve bash.
On Monday (December 31), the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer-songwriter rung in 2019 in style by throwing a costume party where guests were invited to dress as their childhood heroes. Naturally, the pop star embraced the opportunity to shine like the princess she is by going as Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid.
Spotted at the year-end shindig were some of Swift's famous friends like Gigi Hadid and Blake Lively. The runway star arrived as Mary Poppins as Lively channeled Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, whereas the Gossip Girl alumna's husband, Ryan Reynolds, like a true party pooper, didn't dress up at all.
"Mary Poppins, Audrey, Ariel, Ms. Frizzle, Cinderella, Gwen, Mr. Toad, Avril, Nancy Drew, Posh Spice, Rizzo, Frida Kahlo, Steve Irwin, Dorothy," the Reputation artist wrote along with a gallery of pics from her party. "This new year we decided to dress up as our childhood heroes. Sending you all love and hope going into 2019."
With the arrival of the New Year, the 29-year-old closes yet another successful chapter of career highlights.
In December 2018, Swift's "Reputation Stadium Tour" trek became the highest-grossing tour in the United States, besting a record that was long-held by The Rolling Stones' for over a decade. Additionally, the "…Ready For It?" performer celebrated the achievement with the release of her exclusive concert film, Taylor Swift reputation Stadium Tour, which premiered on Netflix on December 31.
