The infamous Harry’s Hofbrau in San Jose will officially close their doors on Tuesday.
A sign posted on the door by the owners said: “Thank you for your patronage and loyalty throughout the years. Our success is only because of you and our hard-working staff. We are closing this location because the years have taken its toll on the facility and plans have begun for redevelopment of the site."
The hofbrau had been in business on Saratoga Avenue, just off Interstate 280, for 42 years and once was part of a larger chain. After San Jose closes, the only locations remaining open will be Redwood City and San Leandro.
Thank you for all of the great years (and food!) Harry's! You will be missed!
