In this business, the multi-hyphenate actor-singer-dancer — the triple threat — is always sought after. Of course, then there are those celebs who are so crazy talented in one area, it doesn’t even matter if they can do the other things, too. (Like recording artists who just sing, and actors who just, well, act.)
However, when you get an actor who can sing — we’re talking the Bradley Coopers and the Zac Efrons of the world here — something just blows your mind, just a little. “They can sing?!” you think, and yes, they can.
Check out the stars below who are primarily actors — but are also occasional singers.
1. Bradley Cooper
In his directing debut, A Star Is Born, Cooper is actually singing live for the songs his character Jackson Maine performs. Actor/writer/director and now singer, can he get any better??
2. Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet recorded a song called “What If” and released a music video for it back in 2001. The song was for the animated film Christmas Carol: The Movie. Kate can do it all!
3. Joseph Gordon Levitt
This well-rounded actor can sing, play piano, and guitar. He’s appeared with Zooey Deschanel singing “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” and covered countless other songs on many other platforms. Go JGL!
4. Hugh Jackman
Not only can Hugh Jackman play a fierce Wolverine, but he’s also acted in several musicals. Most recently he starred and sang in The Greatest Showman and Les Misérables.
5. Michael Cera
Michael Cera has been killing it on broadway recently with his newest play The Waverly Gallery. He also self released his debut album True That back in 2014. Check it out!
6. Zooey Deschanel
Zooey Deschanel has one incredible singing voice. She’s part of the musical duo She & Him with M. Ward and she played Belle in the live performance of Beauty and the Beast.
7. Meryl Streep
The legendary Meryl Streep can sing just as well as she can act. Her musical talents have been showcased in films like Postcards From the Edge, Mamma Mia, and Ricki and the Flash.
8. Rob Pattinson
Pattinson is a well-rounded entertainer. He sings, plays guitar, piano, and we all know he can act. Two of his songs, “Let Me Sign” and “Never Think”, even appeared on the Twilight soundtrack.
9. Kit Harrington
Kit Harrington can be seen singing to his now wife, Rose Leslie, in a comedy video for the show Game of Thrones.
10. Jennifer Lawrence
Lawrence’s soft voice is featured singing “The Hanging Tree” by James Newton Howard from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay soundtrack.
11. Zac Efron
Zac Efron got his start singing in all the High School Musical movies and went on to sing in The Greatest Showman as well.
12. Dylan Minnette
Dylan Minnette is not only an actor known for his role as Clay in 13 Reasons Why, but he's also a musician. He plays guitar and sings in the band Wallows.
13. Joe Keery
When Joe Keery wasn't busy being the best dad to all the Stranger Things kids, he was playing guitar (and singing on songs like "Ralphie") with his band Post Animal. He left the band in early 2018.
14. Billy Bob Thornton
Billy Bob Thornton isn’t just known for his acting. He’s also been in the rock band The Boxmasters since 2007.
15. Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp has starred in countless movies over the years, a few of them being musicals. You might remember his singing in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
16. Ryan Gosling
Ryan Gosling not only sings his heart out in La La Land, but all the piano playing in the movie is 100% him. He learned to play the piano just for that role.
17. Emma Stone
Emma Stone debuts her musical talents in La La Land, a long way from her start singing on the reality show In Search of the Partridge Family.

The talented Emma Watson debuted to the world her singing voice as Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
19. Patrick Swayze
Not only did Patrick Swayze absolutely nail his role in the classic film Dirty Dancing, but he also co-wrote and sang the song “She’s Like the Wind” from the film.
20. Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth Paltrow played and sang as a country singer in the film Country Strong. She also appeared in a few episodes of Glee where she sang “Forget You” by Cee Lo Green and “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac.
21. Renée Zellweger
Renée Zellweger sang as her character Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago and also sang Bob Dylan’s “This Land is Your Land” in the 2010 film My Own Love Song.
22. Reese Witherspoon
Witherspoon played country singer June Carter Cash in the film Walk the Line and also sang as Rosita the Pig in the animated musical Sing!.
23. James Corden
James Corden features his many vocal ranges alongside a wide range of artists in his hit "Carpool Karaoke" videos.
24. Emily Blunt
Emily has featured her singing voice in the film Into the Woods and most recently in Mary Poppins Returns.
