Cardi B just made the "Baby Shark" song fashion, and we're totally here for it!
The "Money" rapper featured the song in one of her latest Instagram posts, playing it in the background while she fiercely walked down a pretend catwalk (quite on beat, might I add) in leather pants and a neon green bodysuit. The interesting song choice was surely inspired by the first-time mom's six-month-old baby girl, Kulture, who Cardi recently revealed loves to listen to that song along with a few of her and Kulture's father Offset's tracks. "SONGS KULTURE LIKES ,TAKI TAKI,I LIKE IT,RIC FLAIR DRIP ,MI GENTE by J Balvin and the whole baby shark mixtape," Cardi tweeted on January 18.
Cardi's baby shark tribute came just before she confirmed her Las Vegas Residency. The "Twerk" rapper captioned a video of her talking about the upcoming gig on Thursday (January 25). "ITS LIT THIS YEAR IN SIN CITY AT THE PALMS !!!!!!!!" she captioned the post. In the video, Cardi continued to share her excitement, saying, "Yes, it's true that Cardi got a residency in Las Vegas. I see a lot of you motherf**kers in the comments talking bout 'she only got one album, I thought you gotta be a legend, why her.' B*tch, f**k you mean ’why me?’ Because I bring bi*ches out!"
Palms general manager Jon Gray sang Cardi's praises in an interview with Billboard earlier this week. "She's a superstar," he gushed. "She has an incredible following. She is incredibly talented and a great example of what we want to showcase."
