According to How to Watch, almost 60% of the United States now watches TV via internet streaming. After learning this statistic, How to Watch set out to discover which shows were being streamed the most across every state. From comedies like Parks and Recreation to dramas like The Sopranos, there are so many options to choose from these days. With everything right at our finger tips, what shows are we choosing to watch more than any other?

So, how did they figure out the most popular shows being streamed in the US? First, How to Watch researched the most popular TV series across four major streaming platforms (Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO, and Amazon Prime Video) to create an initial list of 80 shows. Then, we plugged that lineup into Google Trends to pinpoint each state’s most popular TV show. Here's what they found:
