Ariana Grande wants to ensure the safety and security of her upcoming "Sweetener/Thank U, Next Tour," so the pop titan and her team are encouraging attendees to use a clear fanny pack for their attendance.
On Sunday (February 24), Grande took to Instagram and Twitter to model a clear plastic fanny pack and went into detail as to why she is encouraging ticket holders to buy one for themselves ahead of the March 18 launch date in Albany, New York. "We’re sending out emails soon encouraging you to order a clear bag to bring your things into the venues as security is going to be very precise and smooth but for sure super strict," she captioned the post for her 146 million followers. "They’re super cheap and simple but having them ahead of time will for sure help things go as smooth as possible so if you see this in your emails please don’t ignore it!"
Grande went on to admit that any clear bags within a certain size are free to bring if attendees already have their own accessories. "I just wanted to make sure you saw these and knew about all this ahead of time so everything can go as smoothly and safely as possible love you. thank you," she concluded. At time of press, the fanny packs were not available on her online store.
In early January, it was announced that her North American dates, which were originally scheduled to wrap up on June 26, will now extend to July 13 in order to accommodate for the addition of her Coachella sets, as well as rescheduled shows in Chicago, Columbus, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Denver and Salt Lake City. The trek will start on March 18 at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York, before hitting markets like Boston, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Detroit and Palm Springs for the highly-anticipated music festival on April 14 and 21.
