Twenty One Pilots Are Working On A New Album

Twenty One Pilots have been on their Banditos tour for months now, and during a recent interview with NME, the duo revealed they're doing more than just playing shows while on the road.

Though the majority of Trench was written in Tyler Joseph's basement in Columbus, Ohio, and then sent to Josh Dun, who now lives in LA, its followup is being penned on the road, and continues to explore the band's lore. “There’s a character that hasn’t been talked about that plays a huge role and that’s probably where we’re going next,” Joseph explained to NME.

Joseph and Dun may be working on their sixth studio album, but there's no telling when we'll actually get to hear it. They still need to, you know, get in the studio and record everything, and have tour dates planned through the summer. Besides, the drummer has another important project to complete: his wedding.

Dun proposed to his girlfriend Debby Ryan in December and has been planning their nuptials. He joked to NME that he's going to walk down the aisle to drum solos.

While we wait for new music, Twenty One Pilots are gifting us with things like Ned—the furry creature that stars in their "Chlorine" video. We can't wait to see what they come up with next.
