Billy Baldwin is happy to see his niece Hailey Baldwin's blossoming romance with Justin Bieber, but he did sound off on the star-studded couple's decision to tie the knot so quickly.

Speaking with Us Weekly, the 56-year-old star said that he absolutely loves the pair, but he would have preferred if they had waited a few more years to wed. "I love them as a couple and I would've loved to see them get married if they waited a couple more years," The Northern Rescue star confessed. "Maybe that would have been better, but they didn’t want to wait because they're both devout in their faith and … that wasn’t the right fit for them so that’s really none of my business." Much like you remember, Baldwin and Bieber got engaged in July 2018, just a few weeks after rekindling their romance from 2015 - 2016. Later on in September 2018, the two opted to keep it low-key and wed at a courthouse in New York City.

As for whether the Hollywood veteran offered the two any advice, it seems like Baldwin's two cents involved basking in the moment. "I've said to them, 'I hope you don’t jump right in and start having two and three and four kids right away,'" he admitted. "I just hope that they have the next few years together where they can rampage and just globe trot and just tear it up and have fun."

In the meantime, Bieber is reportedly leaning on his new wife as a means of support as he seeks help in his battle against depression. "He really wants to get better. He has been seeking all the help he can get," a source recently told E! News, admitting that the pop star has been having "a difficult time" battling his depression. "This is just something [Justin] has to deal with. He is in outpatient therapy and getting help every day. This is his focus right now."
