A Florida man was detained at Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley International Airport after agents with the Transportation Security Administration discovered a rocket launcher in his luggage. The man, who was not identified, was detained by authorities and explained that it was not a functioning weapon.
He told officials that it was a replica and he had taken it apart so he could bring it back to his home in St. Augustine. He said that he did not realize that TSA regulations ban people from flying with any “realistic replicas of firearms.”
Authorities confiscated the rocket-propelled grenade, and he was released in time to catch his flight home.
