For all the 90's babies and millennial heads, get ready to experience some extreme nostalgia.
Kimora Lee Simmons has repurchased and is set to relaunch her iconic Baby Phat brand that will hit stores later this year. The fashion designer and entrepreneur announced the news via a press release on Friday (March 8).
Simmon's two daughters Ming Lee and Aoki Simmons who she share with media and hip hop mogul Russell Simmons will play an integral part in the relaunch. Ming Lee wasted little time to express her excitement via Instagram.
"Celebrating #internationalwomensday with a very special announcement! Baby Phat has always been a brand for women. We have always celebrated every shape, every size, every race, every background; every woman. In 2019, we’re bringing it back for ALL of us... Because we’re worth celebrating.@BabyPhat."
In a recent interview with Bloomberg TV, Simmons explained her reason's behind relaunching the famous brand where she served as it's creative director for a decade. “It’s very important that you have women on both sides — women as the end user, women as the creator,” she said. “We need to take more of that responsibility and own it.”
Kimora has yet to release an official date the famous brand will hit stores and specifically what stores will carry the brand.
