Muse Is Bringing 'Simulation Theory' To Life With Pre-Show VR Games

Muse kicked off their Simulation Theory world tour last month, and while the band promised it was going to be their biggest production yet, they didn't even mention what fans could expect before the show. The alt-rockers teamed up with Microsoft to engineer three custom Virtual Reality games that immerse fans into the Simulation Theory world, while the album blasts in their ears.
"I leaned into VR when I started reading about simulation theory itself and what that means—about how the world we’re living in could be a simulation. We don’t know, and there is a chance,” frontman Matt Bellamy explained about his fascination that led to the album's concept. “Because the mechanisms behind the universe are very mathematical. You know, the way we understand universe is through maths, and so that could suggest an element of programming involved.”
