BTS has released an alternate music video for their Halsey-assisted smash hit "Boy with Luv."
On Friday (April 26), Korean pop stars V, J-Hope, RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga unveiled a special, fan-inspired visual titled "ARMY with Luv," named after BTS' devoted ARMY fanbase. The variant made its thunderclap arrival with additional footage of the boy band as well as with the "Without Me" artist, whose vocals are heard even more in the remake.
The new version appears to show the bandmates in a more playful as well as those alongside Halsey, who didn't have much of a presence in the original. What's more, there's a cute handshake moment between the songstress and RM!

The alternate version is inspired by the group's lead single, "Boy With Luv," off their latest EP, Map of the Soul: Persona. The project, which landed on April 12, is the sixth extended play from BTS after last year's Love Yourself: Tear and Love Yourself: Answer. Within 24 hours of premiering the music video for the song on the same day, "Boy With Luv" earned the biggest music video debut in YouTube's history with more than 74.6 million views, besting previous titleholders including BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love" (56.7 million) and Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" (55.4 million).
Following the track's historical achievement, BTS made history AGAIN when they made their musical guest premiere on Saturday Night Live on April 13, becoming the first K-pop act to do so.
Next week, the septet will kick off their newly-expanded global jaunt, titled "BTS World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself," which opens in California on May 4. (Get the dates here.)
