It's hard to believe Game of Thrones could possibly top the most recent episode "The Long Night," but Emilia Clarke just warned fans about what's to come. With only three episodes left in the final season, Jon Snow, Danaerys Targaryen and the rest of the Winterfell crew still have to face off against Cersei Lannister down in King's Landing. According to Emilia, the fifth episode is going to blow our minds.
While chatting with Jimmy Kimmel, the actress spilled the tea on the upcoming installment. Despite the fact "The Long Night" required 55 grueling night shoots for the cast and crew of GoT, Emilia says "episode five is bigger. Episode five is-I mean, four and five and six, they're all insane, but likeā¦Find the biggest TV you can."
As Vanity Fair points out, the fifth episode was directed by Miguel Sapochnik, so, we shouldn't be too surprised by its epic scale. Sapochnik also directed "The Long Night," as well as season 7's "Battle of the Bastards." The director also won an Emmy for his work on the season 7 episode.
While Emilia is hyped for the fifth episode, Kit Harrington is more excited for the fourth episode of the final season. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, he explained the next installment is his favorite because "the characters have seemingly got what they needed...The world is safe now. Theyāre celebrating and saying goodbye to lost friends. But as an audience youāre going, āThis is only episode 4, somethingās going to happen.ā And thatās the cool thing because I think the characters are aware of this as well. Thereās something twisted and uncomfortable about it. Itās so Shakespearian.ā
Who's excited for the last episodes of GoT ever?
