ZAYN and Zhavia breathe new life into a timeless Disney classic.

Thursday (May 9) saw the music video premiere of former One Direction member and The Four alum's fresh rendition of "A Whole New World" for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Aladdin. In their interpretation, ZAYN and Zhavia remain true to the song's wistful, soaring melodies, but also add a personal touch of passionate runs and Arabic-inspired instrumentals throughout the production.

The iconic duet, which features on the motion picture's soundtrack, was initially brought to popularity by singers Brad Kane and Lea Salonga, who performed the original number for the 1992 animated movie. Should you forget its place in pop culture history, "A Whole New World" remains the first and only Disney song to bring home a Grammy Award for Song of the Year.

Helmed by Guy Ritche, Aladdin stars Will Smith as Genie, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahban as the Sultan, Nasim Pedrad as Jasmine’s friend Dalia, and Billy Magnussen in the new role of Prince Anders.

ZAYN and Zhavia's version of the song will appear during the end credits of the new Aladdin edition, opening in theaters May 24.
