It's been nearly two years since Evanescence released their fourth studio album Synthesis, and while we may still need to wait a bit for new music, vocalist Amy Lee assures fans that the band is currently writing a new album and will be able to share the fruits of their labor "hopefully next year."
“This is sort of a creation year for us,” she explained in a recent interview. “We’re playing a few festivals and some headlining shows — a little bit, but not too heavy. And in the time in between, getting together and starting the writing process for a new album.
“We’re just gonna get together and see what happens this month, and start doing that more regularly until we feel like we’re ready to do it.”
For now, fans can catch Evanescence live this summer. Check out their full list of tour dates below.
