2019 Big Slick Celebrity Weekend - Day 1

Selena Gomez had a blast giving back to Children's Mercy Hospital during the Big Slick 2019 Celebrity Weekend.

The pop star was one of many celebrities who met with patients during Friday's (June 7) touching meet and greet at the Kansas City hospital, where she engaged with fans, posed for selfies and even played a few games. Following the hospital visit, the "Hands to Myself" musician later hit the field with celebs like Zachary Levi, Katherine McNamara, and Adam Scott for a charity game of softball to support pediatric cancer research and treatment programs at Children's Mercy Hospital.

David Cook, Chris Daughtry, Ariel Winter, Al Roker, and more stars also participated in the fundraising match, led annually by Rob Riggle and actors Paul Rudd and Jason Sudeikis since 2010.

"What a wonderful way to kick off Big Slick weekend!! Thank you to @RobRiggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, @davidkoechner, @ericstonestreet and all of their friends for brightening our kids’ day and raising a ton of money for pediatric research!!" Children's Mercy wrote on their Instagram with a set of images from the meet-up.

The fundraising event is the latest public appearance we've reported on Gomez since the 26-year-old stunned on the red carpet at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival in France to support her film, The Dead Don't Die, last month. For the star-studded occasion, Gomez wore a white high leg-slit dress by Louis Vuitton, a bold bun, a giant, show-stopping collar necklace design by BVLGARI.
