Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the center of some controversy after the Hollywood heavyweight shared a photo of his three-year-old daughter posing by the pool without her swimsuit on and, as expected, the actor was blasted by a number of social media users.

As per a report from Yahoo, the 47-year-old took down the Instagram shot of Jasmine soon after being dad-shamed for sharing the naked photo of the toddler. In the shot, Johnson appeared in the swimming pool with his arms out to catch the little one as she was perched on the side of the pool. "As a mother to [a] female human, please cover her nakedness on media platforms," one user reportedly replied on the post. As with most parent-shaming posts, the divide between critics and supporters was apparent. "Those who are sexualizing this picture of his daughter because she is swimming with no clothes on obviously don’t know what it’s like to grow up in the islands or in a Polynesian household. This is very normal and not sexual in any way with our culture," another wrote.

Meanwhile, celebrity dads David Beckham and Josh Brolin appeared to have no issue with the post as they liked it within the first two hours after it was shared on the platform. In total, more than 2.9 million users had liked the post.

Parenting police have come down on Johnson in the past when he and his girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, welcomed their second daughter, Gia, in July 2018. During that debacle, the actor was criticized for taking a shirtless selfie with his newborn at the hospital. “Nurse: Would you like to hold your new baby? @TheRock: Hold on, let me take my shirt off," one Twitter user joked, but Johnson has a response ready to go. "Good one! Buuuuut one day when you have babies Allison you’ll understand the power of skin to skin," he clapped back.
