Louisiana Rises Nutria Bounty After Uptick In Damage

Louisiana is raising the amount it will pay for each nutria killed during the 2019-2020 season.

The move comes after three years of low nutria catches and an uptick in damage.

People will now get $6 per nutria killed instead of $5.

Wildlife officials say the one dollar increase could translate into hundreds or even thousands of dollars for some of the top nutria hunters.
