Shawn Mendes might be a hot topic on social media, considering his rumored romance with Camila Cabello (and their accompanying collab "Señorita"), but the pop star does not have Instagram or Twitter available on his phone.
During a recent pre-concert Q&A, Mendes told fans that he deleted the social media apps this week and has given his manager full responsibility to manage his accounts for the time being. "I struggle with social media a lot, too," the 20-year-old explained. "To be honest with you guys, I deleted Instagram and Twitter three days ago, but I send my manager pictures and I'm like, ‘Can you post this?'"
Mendes went on to admit that he needs a breather from the world of posts, likes and feeds. "Sometimes I need to take a break from it, too, because it gets to me just as much as it gets to anyone else," he continued. "You have to take care of yourself. It's really really important. Make yourself come first."
While the chart-topper didn't specify what made him delete the apps, the big fuss amongst users revolves around the PDA-filled outings between himself and the former Fifth Harmony singer, a coupling that some believe is a publicity stunt.
