10 Best Covers And Parodies Of Billie Eilish's 'Bad Guy' (Duh!)

Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" is one of the biggest songs of the year. In fact, it's so popular that it was the one to dethrone Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" after that track spent a record-breaking 19 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
With success comes covers, and with covers come parodies. "Bad Guy" has racked up some pretty wonderful renditions in each category. From YouTubers reimagining the dark single in the style of blink-182 to switching up the lyrics to mirror that dad life, these are the best covers and parodies of "Bad Guy."
"Bad Guy" In The Style Of Blink-182
Cameron Hurley, the former lead guitarist of We Are The In Crowd, took it upon himself to reimagine what "Bad Guy" would sound like if blink-182 wrote it during their Take Off Your Pants and Jacket sessions, and let's just say HE TOTALLY NAILED IT! Just how accurate is it? Well, one person on YouTube commented "Sounds more like Blink than current Blink," so there ya go.
Bastille Cover
Earlier this summer, Bastille visited BBC's Radio 1 studio for a cover session where they delighted us all with one of the most creative "Bad Guy" covers we've heard. Dan Smith and company incorporated a number of other songs into the cover, including their own "Bad Decisions, "Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance," Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood," and late surf rock iconDick Dale's legendary instrumental track, "Miserlou."
"Dad Guy" Parody
Funk Turkey's "Bad Guy" parody is hilarious and probably a little too relatable to some of us. In "Dad Guy" the YouTuber sings lyrics like “White shirt/ now red /that’s taco sauce/ eating /just sitting on my phone,” and switches up the chorus to mirror what he used to be before turning into the "dad type."
"Bad Guy" In The Style Of Green Day
YouTuber Nathan Sharp gave pop punk fans something they didn't know they needed when he recorded a version of "Bad Guy" in the style of Dookie-era Green Day. Sharp alters his voice to have that Billie Joe Armstrong drawl, while frenetic guitars lead the charge. He even includes those signature Green Day vocal flares. But it's the end of the song where he really nails it — changing the tempo to a racing pace that gives the original's sultry outro a whole new feel.
Melissa McCarthy Superimposing Herself Into The "Bad Guy" Music Video
Okay, so this technically isn't a parody nor a cover; however, it's hilarious and amazing to see that Melissa McCarthy is a hardcore Billie Eilish fan. Also, in that same episode of Ellen Billie pops out of a table and scares the crap out of the comedienne, and that is also priceless.
"Bad Guy" Video Game Mashup
Rob Landes loves his violin, video games, pop culture, and general weirdness, and he wrapped them all together in a YouTube video where he proves that the "Bad Guy" melody can be paired with basically any video game songs. To prove his point, he records an instrumental loop of the song's melody and then plays the themes from Plants vs Zombies, Halo, Zelda, Sonic, Minecraft, Assassin's Creed, Pokemon, and Undertale on the violin, all while wearing a violet wig and oddly hilarious blank stare.
"Frat Guy" Parody
YouTube funny gal Katherine Ellis gave "Bad Guy" a parody that hits close to home for anyone who went to college and had any experience with the Greek system (especially on the East Coast). With "Frat Guy" she pokes fun of different fraternity tropes and changes lyrics to things like "I'm a tough guy/ drinkin' Natty Lights/ I play beer pong all night/ my Dad funds all my flights guy/ I'm that swole type/ Make your eyeballs roll type/ love to haze my bros, right?/ texting 'are you up?' type/ I'm a frat guy/ Bruh" It's comedic gold.
Tango Cover
Postmodern Jukebox gave "Bad Guy" and interesting cover with vocalist Ariana Savalas. The musical collective is known for reworking popular songs in vintage styles like jazz and swing. For this one, they went the tango route and slowed the track down to a sultry number featuring standup bass, piano, violin, and accordion.
Donald Trump Mashup
We don't even want to know how long it took YouTuber Maestro Ziikos to put together his Donald Trump cover of "Bad Guy," but we thank him for doing it, because it's hilarious. He meticulously sourced every word of the song with sound bytes from the president and switching out the chorus's "duh" to "wall."
"Bad Guy" In The Style Of Breaking Benjamin
As you can see, a handful of YouTubers decided to cover "Bad Guy" in the style of another artist, and here's another one that's spot-on. The account Ten Second Songs recruited fellow YouTube star Jared Dines to give the song a hard rock rendition in the style of Breaking Benjamin. It's ridiculous, and we absolutely love it.
