An Evening With Jimmy Page And Chris Cornell In Conversation - Inside

Jimmy Page has a book on the way.

The Led Zeppelin guitarist has announced a limited edition 384-page tome offering a rare look into material from his personal archives.

Written in Page's own works, Jimmy Page: The Anthology includes stories and photos from his six-decade career.

"In this book, I wanted to include items from my personal archive that have played a part in my overall story, to give the detail behind the detail," Page said via a news release.

The Anthology takes a close-up look at important artifacts from Page's past, including instruments like his famed "Number One" Gibson Les Paul and his "Dragon" Fender Telecaster, as well as stage costumes, concert posters, vinyl pressings, letters and diary entries.

Over the course of the book, Page attempts to put it all into the context of his iconic career in which he went from playing in a skiffle band and dreaming of becoming a doctor to getting work as a studio musician, joining The Yardbirds, forming Led Zeppelin and everything else that's come since.

Page had promised "something new" in 2019, and he's delivered on a variety of fronts that aren't his long-presumed solo album. He partnered with an amplifier company to recreate the hot-rodded amp he used in Led Zeppelin's early days. With the help of Fender, he issued replicas of the guitar he used on Led Zeppelin I.

In you're hoping to get your hands on a copy of Jimmy Page: The Anthology, the book is only being published in a limited run of 2,500 numbered copies, each signed by Page himself.

It's priced at about $480 and available for pre-order now, expected to ship in December. Get more details here.
