Hurricane Dorian Leaves Disney World So Empty It's Like A Ghost Town

Walt Disney World may be the happiest place on Earth, but it's also one of the busiest and most crowded. According to Disneyland Orlando and Beyond, Disney's four Floridian theme parks have an average visitor count of up to 53,000. It's a rare occasion to experience Magic Kingdom, the most visited of the four parks, with low crowd levels and short wait times for attractions. Guests have to book their Space Mountain fast passes months in advance to avoid the lengthy wait times.
Some Disney guests experienced an eerily empty Magic Kingdom this week, though, after the park was forced to close due to Hurricane Dorian's expected path. Disney Vloggers captured what the parks were like with virtually no guests, sharing a ghost-town-like Magic Kingdom with their followers. You've really never seen Magic Kingdom like this before. Disney Vlogger TheTimTracker documented the completely empty Magic Kingdom parking lot.
Another Disney Vlogger, Theme Park Express, took viewers inside the park shortly before it was set to close for Hurricane Dorian. Walkways that are usually so packed you can't see the ground were completely empty. Rides with extremely long wait times, such as Splash Mountain, had no lines.
The area in front of Cinderella's Castle was also pretty deserted.
The Mirror also published photos of an extremely empty Magic Kingdom, which you can check out here.
Disney World has reopened after Hurricane Dorian ultimately bypassed the Orlando-area. Though the parks had a few days with super low crowd levels, the House of Mouse expects attendance to spike significantly after a number of guests postponed their trips.
