Mark Hoppus' mom has always been supportive of her son, even when he decided to drop out of college to tour with his band, blink-182. Now, the rockstar is able to support his mom as she has fought (and beaten) cancer twice now. On Sunday (September 29), he revealed via Instagram that his mom was in remission and her first public outing was his show in San Diego for TwitchCon.

"This is my mom. She just beat cancer for a second time," he wrote alongside a photo of himself and his mother. After months of chemo her doctor cleared her to go out in public and her first outing was to our show at Petco Park last night. This lady is a bad b**ch. I love you, mom."

The post garnered kind words not only from fans, but also from Mark's former bandmate Tom DeLonge. "I hope she is doing well, Mark. Please tell her I love her and am thankful she is beating this!" he commented on the post. The exchange didn't end there either. Mark not only thanked Tom for his well wishes, but also offered up some of his own. "@tomdelongeThanks for the kind words! Hope your tour is going great. 🙏🏻" he wrote, referring to Tom's band Angels & Airwaves, which is currently on its first tour in seven years.
