Kanye West's Scrapped Album 'Yandhi' Surfaces Online — As Ringtones

While we wait for Kanye West to announce a release date for his new album, Jesus Is King, it seems as if there's a new development on the hip-hop titan's once-scrapped album, Yandhi.

West's project, which leaked earlier this summer, has apparently been uploaded to iTunes, but the LP is currently only available to purchase as — wait for it — ringtones. If you head over to to the digital store, you'll notice that the album's nine tracks are all available for download for $1.29 apiece. Unfortunately, you can only hear 26 seconds of each of them as they are ringtone files. Still, the upload feels suspicious enough to believe that its not official, despite being listed on his artist profile, as noted by Forbes. Head into the songs' iTunes credits and you'll see a suspect credit by ENZO Label buried in file. Additionally, the last time that the rapper released ringtones for an album was in 2012 for Cruel Summer. Stranger things have happened to West, but who knows?

It all comes on the heels of the news that West will only make gospel music from here on out. Andrew Barber of FakeShoreDrive was in attendance at the Chicago listening party for West's new album and claims that the rapper announced he would no longer be making secular music. "Kanye also announced that he is no longer making secular music. Only Gospel from here on out," he tweeted. In addition to the new LP, the chart-topper is also planning to release an accompanying IMAX film, Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Film, in October.
